Welcome to the Orangeville and District Horticultural Society! We are so happy to have you here!
Our motto is 'Gardens are for Sharing'. We meet every second Tuesday of the month and everyone is welcome to attend a meeting, as a guest. Membership fees entitle you to our monthly Newsletter - electronic or hard copy - the annual Yearbook, private Garden Tours, discounts at participating garden centres and of course invaluable gardening information. At each meeting and event, we love sharing information and learning from each other.
At our regular monthly meetings, we have knowledgeable speakers on general gardening topics, including shady gardening, pollinator gardens, low maintenance gardening, native plants, and much more! There are also flower shows to enjoy and enter in June and September.
We are also a social group. Before each meeting, we like to meet and mingle, while enjoying light refreshments. There is also the opportunity to purchase draw tickets for gardening gifts or items from our donations table.
In the summer, rather than a formal meeting, we host a special in-town garden tour, and take a bus trip or two to some interesting gardens both locally and further afield. Please feel free to join us at a monthly general meeting. We would love to see you there! We are always accepting new members!
